Lifting slings
Forankra chain slings are mounted with Forankras high quality original chain and grade 8 components. The products are described in their product sections. We are presenting the most commonly used chain slings on the following pages. Other dimensions and combinations are also available when requested.
Non-uniform load
If the load isn´t symetrically apportioned, 2-part slings are to be dimensioned as 1-part, and 3- and 4-part as 2-part.
In connection with the lift
Never lift with twisted chain. Shortening is only allowed with correct component. The load is always to be carried in the bottom of the hook, never in the top. The top eye is always to be able to move freely in the crane hook. Never exceed the max. load of each lifting angle.
Supervision
Thoroughly control attrition or damage tendencies in all of the components. Attrition may not exceed 10 % of original size. Max. chain lengthening allowed is 5 % (measured over 5 chain links).
Marking
The lifting slings shall be equipped with marking tag with manufacturer symbol, production date, id, max. load and CE-marking.
