Dunnage Bag
With dunnage bags one avoids damage which can happen while transporting in containers, on railroads or on ships.
A dunnage bag consists of an inner covering with an air valve and an outer covering of firm paper in several layers as protection.
A safe transport occurs when a dunnage bag in the right size, placed right is filled with air. The goods can’t move, which prevents damage that can occur when the goods are not fixed.
Preventing damage while transporting is not the only advantage with dunnage bags. They are easily placed and filled which reduces the work and saves time.
By opening the valve it is possible to move the dunnage bag if the goods have to be repositioned. It can then be reinflated.
