Cargo securing for road transport
All goods that are transported on our roads must be secured to ensure the safety of those who handle the goods, other road users and to protect the goods from damage during transport. The right cargo securing method depends on the cargo carrier and the goods you want to transport.
Cargo securing is carried out by locking, blocking and lashing according to the principles in our Guildeline to Cargo Securing. For more detailed information, also see “European Best Practices Guidelines on Cargo Securing for Road Transport” (Swedish), an EU publication written by an expert group of representatives from member states and the industry. In addition we will also recommend TYA's industry standard for cargo securing based on the requirements in TSFS 2017:25 and the EU directive 2014/47/EU on flying inspection, which was developed by TYA (Transportfackens Yrkes- och Arbetsmiljönämnd).

Regulations for road transport
Road transport is an area that is regulated by both European standards and local regulations. The regulations listed here have been developed to increase the safety for vehicles and cargo securing in connection to transport of goods.
In Europe there are directives concerning cargo securing. The directive is implemented in Sweden through the Transportstyrelsens's regulation TSFS 2017:25. The easiest way to meet these requirements is to follow the recommendations found in European guidelines for best practice - Cargo securing for road transport, TYA industry standard for cargo securing and Forankra's Guideline for cargo securing.
