Regulations for lashing points

2022-02-23

Unlike loose cargo securing equipment, lashing points are an integral part of the cargo carrier (eg the vehicle), which is why the capacity must be determined by the one responsible for mounting it on the current cargo carrier, eg the bodybuilder. The lashing point must withstand loads in the intended direction and this direction must be clearly stated.

The requirements for lashing points are strict and are regulated in the Swedish regulation TSFS 20017: 25, but also in the European directive 2014/47 / EU, where reference is made to the European standard EN 12640. For more informatin, contact our specialists.
